2027: Bwari APC group dismisses anti-party claim, vows total support for Tinubu, Aduda

The South-West Forum of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bwari Area Council, Abuja, has dismissed reports alleging that the group is working against the party and its candidates in the Federal Capital Territory.

The forum described the allegation as false and an attempt by unnamed individuals to create division within the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Chairman of the forum, Comrade Adetunji Kolawole, in a statement on Saturday, said the group remained committed to the APC and the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Kolawole said the forum’s priority was to mobilise support for Tinubu’s second-term bid while also ensuring victory for APC candidates contesting various elective positions in the FCT.

He said, “Our number one priority is the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in 2027. The forum is fully committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda and we are mobilising all structures in Bwari to ensure a massive victory for Mr President.”

The APC chieftain also pledged the forum’s support for the party’s candidates in the FCT, including its senatorial candidate, Senator Philip Aduda; House of Representatives candidate, Hon. S. Gabaya; and candidates contesting Area Council positions.

According to him, the forum is not working against any APC candidate, stressing that its objective is to strengthen the party and ensure victory at the polls.

Kolawole said the forum had taken note of the decision by some individuals to leave the APC, but added that such movement would not affect the party’s structure in Bwari.

He said, “In a democracy, every Nigerian is free to align with any political party of his choice. However, the departure of a few individuals does not affect the strength, structure or winning capacity of the APC in Bwari.

“The party is bigger than any individual. Our house remains strong and our focus remains on victory.”

He urged APC members and supporters in Bwari to disregard what he described as propaganda aimed at distracting the party and weakening its mobilisation ahead of the elections.

The chairman called on members of the South-West Forum and other APC supporters in the area council to remain united and intensify grassroots mobilisation.

He said the forum would continue to take the message of the Renewed Hope Agenda to communities and polling units across Bwari, expressing confidence that the area council would deliver victory for Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
